With global water resources becoming increasingly limited, water conservation has become an important goal for achieving green production in the textile dyeing and finishing industry. For knitted fabric dyeing mills, the pre-treatment process is one of the most water-consuming stages in the entire production process. Conventional processes usually include scouring, bleaching, neutralization, and bio-polishing. During the whole pre-treatment process, multiple washing steps are normally required, which not only consumes a large amount of water resources but also increases the burden of wastewater treatment. This also increases production costs.

BBT has developed an innovative composite enzyme that integrates bio-scouring and bio-polishing functions. This product is based on alkaline pectinase and neutral cellulase, with multiple components scientifically formulated together. During the first stage of the pre-treatment process, the product can perform bio-scouring and bio-polishing simultaneously, effectively simplifying the conventional pre-treatment process.

The simplification of processing steps means fewer washing cycles are required. For medium and dark-colored knitted cotton fabrics, after treatment withRF838-K(D), a clean and smooth fabric base with good absorbency can be obtained, allowing the fabric to enter the dyeing process. No additional bleaching, neutralization, or separate bio-polishing treatments are required. This not only eliminates the need for caustic soda, hydrogen peroxide, and related auxiliaries used in the bleaching stage, but also reduces two washing cycles after bleaching and neutralization. The entire pre-treatment process requires only one washing cycle, significantly reducing water consumption and wastewater discharge during production.
