From the perspective of textile science, all textiles are composed of fibers, which are classified into natural fibers (cotton, linen, wool, silk), synthetic fibers (polyester, nylon), and man- made fibers (modal, lyocell). Among these, cotton, linen, modal, and lyocell are mainly cellulose, while wool and silk are proteins, and polyester and nylon are petroleum- based polymers containing no cellulose.

Based on this difference, Bio-Polishing emerged as a precise Bio-technology: it uses cellulase to selectively remove microfibers and pillings from the surface of cellulosic fabrics, achieving durable anti- pilling, improved smoothness and softness, without damaging the fiber body. Compared with conventional methods—singeing tends to scorch the fabric and offers only temporary effects, while ordinary acidic cellulase often causes excessive strength loss—neutral cellulasehas inherent advantages in mildness, durability, and safety.

BBT's enzyme preparation RF838-K(D) is a Bio-scouring enzyme containing neutral cellulase.which produced by Baico Biotech. It not only scours away impurities such as pectin, but also performs Bio-Polishing efficiently in a one- bath process. Under mild conditions (55°C, pH 6.5) with a dosage of 0.7%(o.w.f.), it effectively completes the polishing treatment, resulting in improved pilling resistance, a clean and pilling-free surface, soft draping handle, brighter colors, and better absorbency—far superior to conventional acidic cellulase or singeing processes.

The neutral cellulase and other enzymes in RF838-K(D) are produced by microbial submerged fermentation, are biodegradable, generate less wastewater, and impose low environmental load, fully aligning with green manufacturing principles. Moreover, it offers broad pH adaptability, energy savings through combined scouring- polishing in one bath, precise preservation of fiber strength, and overall enhancementof fabric quality, while shortening the process flow and reducing energy consumption. For textile mills, this translates into: lower overall costs, shorter delivery times, more consistent quality, and easier environmental compliance.
