The quality of towels depends on the raw cotton, and Pakistan is abundant in high-quality cotton, which has given rise to a large local towel manufacturing cluster. In recent years, however, consumers have increasingly favored light, soothing colors such as oatmeal and misty blue. These shades require the fabric to have a high whiteness before dyeing in order to eliminate the interference of the natural cream-colored base of cotton fibers. Achieving high whiteness mainly relies on intensified bleaching. Yet excessive bleaching, firstly, damages cellulose fibers, reducing fabric strength and affecting towel durability; secondly, fiber damage leads to higher weight loss, which erodes the manufacturer's profit margins; and lastly, deep bleaching increases chemical consumption and the burden of wastewater treatment, driving up effluent treatment costs. How to ensure sufficient whiteness while minimizing fiber damage and controlling pollution costs has become acritical challenge for towel producers.
To address these pain points, BBT has developed Bio‑scouring Enzyme RF, which effectively reduces the amount of caustic soda used during bleaching. At room temperature, BBT Bio‑scouring Enzyme RF is added to the overflow machine. As the bath temperature rises to 95 °C, RF quickly becomes active and performs scouring, efficiently decomposing impurities such as pectin. Upon reaching 95 °C, bleaching and scouring proceed simultaneously for 30 minutes, completing the scouring process and significantly improving fabric absorbency. The most advanced feature of Bio‑scouring Enzyme RF is its ability to cut caustic soda consumption in bleaching. This not protects the fabric fibers from excessive damage and reduces weight loss, but helps lighten the factory's wastewater treatment burden. With this solution, only one hot rinse is required after polishing before dyeing, making the process simple and highly efficient.
BBT offers a solution for towel dyeing pre-treatment that balances fiber quality with environmental friendliness. In the future, we will continue to dedicate ourselves to providing moreinnovative production solutions for the textile industry.
